Energy transition - where to start?

Countries around the world are recognising the need to curb emissions. Many governments and companies are committing to this through Net-Zero emission pledges. (But, there's interesting literature on the flaws of Net Zero - something to explore later).

If I were to tackle emissions, where's a good place to start? Makes sense to start with the energy sector, as it contributes 73.2% of global GHG emissions (OWID, 2016 data).

How can we do this in the simplest way possible? Going to read more.
